The 7CB5S water filter is a 5 micron carbon block design with a built-in scale inhibitor. This cartridge can be used in place of any Everpure 7-size cartridge or as an upgrade from a 4-size cartridge, such as the 4CB5S water filter.
We have three models of 7CB5 water filters for you to choose from:
- 7CB5
- 7CB5S
- 7CB5K
The difference between the 7CB5 and the 7CB5S is scale inhibition. The “S” at the end of 7CB5S stands for ‘scale’. The “K” at the end of 7CB5K stands for KDF media, which helps control slime and scale.
The 7CB5S water filter removes particles down to 5 microns. The carbon block technology provides dirt, chlorine, taste and odor reduction. The sanitary quick change cartridge is easy to install and replace.
Because this is a 5-micron carbon block filter, it will provide longer life than Everpure 1/2 micron precoat water filters. With 5-micron filters you are giving up NSF standard 53 for cyst reduction, for longer filter life. (Examples of cysts are Cryptosporidium and Giardia Lamblia). You will still get exceptional chlorine and particulate reduction.
