The high limit switch is normally closed and will open if temperatures exceed 250 degrees Fahrenheit shutting down the auger feed motor. When the switch cools down to 210 degrees it auto-resets. Used in early St. Croix models manufactured in 2003 and earlier including the Afton Bay, Pepin, Prescott EX/EXP, Prescott EXL, and York Insert pellet stove models.
