This water filter is ideal for use with cube ice machines producing up to 750 pounds of ice per day and flake ice machines producing up to 1,500 pounds per day.
Specially designed for use with ice machines, the Everpure 4SI 7 7SI water filters offer dirt reduction, scale protection and reduced slime, all in a single cartridge. This water filter is unique from other Everpure water filters; it does not remove chlorine – intentionally!
In certain applications, such as bakeries or any establishment that is baking bread and pastries, there is air borne yeast present. If you also have an ice maker, and that ice maker has a water filter on it (which is absolutely should) then you need a water filter that doesn’t remove the chlorine from the water. If it does, then the absence of chlorine and the presence of yeast will cause slime build up inside the machine. Everpure 4SI and 7SI water filters allow chlorine to pass into the ice machine. Not only does this address the slime problem but it also facilitates compliance with ASHRAE Standard 188 in hospital and healthcare facilities.
