The 7FC5 water filter is Fibredyne-II 5 micron carbon block media that inhibits the growth of bacteria on the filter media, which can cause short life. This new FC series of water filters have exceptional capacity and flow rates compared to our traditional 7CB5 water filters.
The 7FC5 water filter removes particles down to 5 microns. The carbon block technology provides dirt, chlorine, taste and odor reduction. The sanitary quick change cartridge is easy to install and replace.
Because this is a 5-micron carbon block filter, it will provide longer life than Everpure 1/2 micron precoat water filters. With 5-micron filters you are giving up NSF standard 53 for cyst reduction, for longer filter life.
Examples of cysts are Cryptosporidium and Giardia Lamblia. You will still get exceptional chlorine and particulate reduction.
