Why Flush a New Filter?
When installing a new cartridge, the first few liters carry loose carbon fines. Running this water through a dedicated flush valve—rather than your espresso machine—prevents particles from clogging internal pumps and boilers, eliminating the hassle and leak risks of disconnecting hoses.

Essential Pressure Relief (Size X and Above)
Larger BWT cartridges (Size X, XL, and 2XL) hold significant water volume under mains pressure. The Bestflush Valve provides a controlled release point to safely bleed pressure before unscrewing the housing, preventing sudden ejections. While lower risk for S, V, and M sizes, it is strongly recommended for Size X and above.
